Club Wines for March 2012
2011 Rose’ of Cabernet Franc. Sourced from Olathe, Colorado, this fantastic rose’ is dry and has a wonderful pale salmon color. Ruby red grapefruit, apricot and strawberry flavors with just a hint of tannin. This will pair nicely with any Easter dinner. Only 50 cases were made so at the moment this is a wine club exclusive. Second is our 2011 Colorado Riesling. We are really excited about this wine as these are the first grapes we sourced from the West Elks AVA in Hotchkiss, Colorado. Once again we made this a dry style to break the stereotype of the overly sweet stuff. Very floral and fruity with hints of lavender. Its crisp acidity makes this a highly versatile food wine. The third wine is our perennial favorite Vinny No Neck. This recent bottling changed the blend slightly to 80% Sangiovese and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. Classic cherry and spice box from this Italian style wine that is now being served at several Garlic Knot and Pasquini’s restaurant locations. Wine Club Price: $14.40
